Bronx-Lebanon’s Department of Family Medicine is a dynamic and progressive program. The department, under the direction of Dr. Doug Reich, Chairman, Family Medicine and Program Director, is committed to providing excellent, comprehensive, and continuous
primary care; outstanding medical education; and conducting community based health research. |
A new philosophy has blossomed in Family Medicine, which embraces the need to provide a “medical home” for patients and families.
The department is dedicated to providing a substantial impact on the health related needs and issues in the communities
and neighborhoods in which Bronx-Lebanon provides medical services.
It utilizes the chronic disease management model in its effort to impact such common health problems, as hypertension, diabetes, depression, and immunizations; empowering patients to manage and be in control of their medical illnesses.Patient-centered care, which is provided at the four Family Health Centers: Fulton, Ogden, Crotona Park, and MBD, results in efficient and user friendly services. |
