| Monitors assigned laboratory/phlebotomy areas for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and standards of performance; ensures that quality assurance, safety and infection control policies are properly maintained. Has a thorough knowledge of required laboratory/phlebotomy procedures, quality control and quality assurance. Follows all infection control requirements and safety techniques. Develops, implements & revises standard operating procedures as needed. Demonstrates knowledge in the use of Laboratory Information System (LIS). Evaluates and implements new procedures and equipment and updates existing methodologies with the approval of the department administrator. Monitors assigned laboratory/phlebotomy areas for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and standards of performance; ensures that quality assurance, safety and infection control policies are properly maintained. Plans, coordinates, and supervises the work of assigned phlebotomists.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. (B.S. Preferred). Five to ten (5--10) years experience as a Phlebotomist required Prior supervisory experience preferred Good written, verbal and comprehension skills and the ability to manage workflow.
Bilingual Preferred: English/Spanish.
